Seems like I wasn’t the only one who lost interest after two weeks of playing with it.

That’s obviously not the official reason for the shut down. As Sarah Perez writes:

"Oink, the first app from Kevin Rose’s new startup lab Milk, is shutting down. The announcement posted to the company’s homepage today claims the app was a “test” and the decision was made so that the company could focus on its next project, yet to be named."

Episode 16 of Kevin Rose’s video-podcast Foundation features Kevin Systrom, founder and CEO of what’s probably the most successful and popular startup right now, Instagram.

He tells his story about working for Odeon, which later became Twitter, Google, founding his own startup Instagram and its evolution into what it is today. Interesting insight into one of my favourite apps and definitely a must-watch for everyone who’s interested in this kind of thing.
